About
the Authors

Sorita d'Este and David Rankine share a lifelong passion
for the legends and myths of our ancestors, as well as for
magic, mysticism and religion. They are amongst the most
distinguished authors and researchers of the Western Esoteric
Traditions today, specialising in the spiritual and magical
traditions of Britain and Europe, as well as tracing the
roots of some practices to ancient Egypt and Babylonia.
They have collaborated on dozens of projects since 2000,
including "Visions of the Cailleach" and "The
Guises of the Morrigan".
They are well known for the many dozens of workshops, lectures
and public ceremonies they have facilitated in the UK and
Europe, to both large and small, public and private audiences
over the years. In addition to the more than 20 books they
have authored between them, they have both written hundreds
of articles which have been published in international journals,
magazines and partworks on subjects as far ranging as astrology
and aromatherapy, to palmistry and paganism through to angels
and qabalah.
They
live and work in Wales (UK) which they think is one of the
most magical countries in the world. See the Links section
for details of their individual websites and other work.
Many of their books are available at www.avaloniabooks.co.uk
